Chad Troy Reynolds
Rode in on January 29, 1959- Rode out on September 18, 2015
Chad was born in Owyhee NV, raised on his grandparents' ranch on the South Fork Reservation in Lee, NV. He graduated from Owyhee High School, Class of 1977. His travels took him to Texas, California, and Idaho. He was a man of many trades: masonry, road construction, heavy equipment operator, home construction, and paving, but his greatest trade and the one he truly enjoyed were cowboyin' and raising cattle. He was the "King" Cowboy of Lee. Chad most recently was employed by MGM Construction.
Chad was a generous man. He loved giving others a reason to laugh. Those that were fortunate enough to have met him became his lifelong friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Reece and Roman, and his family, and making improvements to his ranch. He also enjoyed puzzles, reading, rawhide braiding, making rope baskets. Most recently, he would work on intricate coloring patterns while drinking his coffee in the early hours of the morning.
Chad is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harry Easton Tom and Jessie Brady Tom, his beloved son Jacob L. Tybo, his Uncle Richard Tom. He is survived by Alisha Tolhurst (soul mate and companion), mother Jody Reynolds, sons Quirt Reynolds, Brady Reynolds, sister Dallas Smales (Jim), brothers Harley Reynolds (Tanya) and Choc Harper, nephews Brandon Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, and Easton Reynolds, nieces Nocona Hassett (Jerry), Chelsea Harper, and Jessi Smales, grandchildren Reece Reynolds, Roman Reynolds, and Aaron Reynolds, grandnephews Toryn Reynolds, Preston Reynolds, and JW Hassett, grandniece Riahnna Orr, aunts Harriet Tom, Violet Burns, and Gloria Tom, Uncle Bennie Tom, Grandma Carol Tolhurst, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, "brothas," friends, and his buckerette Mesa.
Chad is and will be dearly missed forever. The memories made will forever be held closely and dearly for Chad was truly a kind, gentle man – one of a kind. Celebration of Chad's life will be Saturday, September 26, 2015, on the Bar ZY Ranch (ranch he was raised on) on the South Fork Reservation at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest immediately after services. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the education fund Chad set up for his grandchildren: Elko Federal Credit Union, c/o Lauryn Jacques savings account.
I give you this one thought to keep
I am with you still, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the mornings, hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not think of me as gone
I am with you still in each new dawn
