1935 - 2014
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 27, 2014, after battling heart disease.
She was born March 22, 1935, in Columbus, Montana, to Ferdinand and Nada Padula. Ferdina was raised in Silver King, Idaho, where she attended and graduated high school. After graduation, Ferdina worked as a Nurse's Aide for the Kellogg Hospital.
On June 18, 1955, she married Bob D. Patchett and they were happily blessed with five children. In 1977, Ferdina and the family moved to Wheatland, Wyoming, where she spent 25 happy years watching her family grow. In 2002, Ferdina and Bob moved to Elko, NV, to be closer to the family.
She very much enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren on camping/picnicking adventures and watching the grandchildren's outdoor activities.
Her favorite time of year was Christmas, where the entire family would gather in Fort Collins, Colorado, to celebrate the holiday season.
Ferdina is survived by her children Bob D. Patchett Jr., Lewiston, ID; Rhea J. Mann Elko, NV; Gail N. Mattern Wheatland, WY; Dell A. Patchett Rocksprings, WY; Aaron J. Patchett Elko, NV; grandchildren Scott, Stacey and Christopher Patchett; Jennell and Trina Mann; Trista, Janae and Kara Mattern; Damon and Caycia Patchett; Kayla, Trevor, Cody, McKenzie and Seth Patchett, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Angels are watching over you! We shared many happy moments and have many wonderful memories of the times we've had together. You are deeply loved and missed.
There will be no services held as these were Ferdina's wishes.
The family would like to thank the Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, University of Utah Hospital, Community Nursing Services of Salt Lake City, Hillside Rehabilitation Center of Salt Lake City and Dr. Devendra Patel's medical clinic of Elko, NV. The wonderful care from all is greatly appreciated.
