Rusty was my cousin and in our childhood we spent many hours doing what children do: playing. I have very fond memories of vacations spent in Salida and exploring the mountains. His father always knew of new places to explore in the canyons up in the mountains. My mother pretty much raised Rusty´s mother, Lois, so if we didn´t go to Colorado, Bob and Lois would come to Kansas. After attending Rusty´s sister´s wedding when I was in college, I did see him again until my own mother´s funeral in 1997. Sadly, I never got to Nevada, nor he back to Kansas. Rest well my friend.

So very glad to have known Russ all those years at Goldstrike. Always had a smile and a kind word.
