Andrew Aguilar Obituary
Our beloved Andrew (Andy) J. Aguilar, age 36, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 6, 2008 and is now with his Father up in Heaven. He lived his short but happy life here in El Paso among his hundreds of family and friends. Andy was born in El Paso on March 6, 1972. He graduated from Riverside High School and continued his education by achieving a certificate for Manager Planning and Development. He was employed for over 10 years with Premier Couriers with his most recent position being General Office Manager. Andy was currently engaged to Cristina Sheldon and was planning a spring wedding in 2009. Andy was full of life and his unselfish love endeared him to everyone. He cherished the moments hanging out with loved ones even if it was as simple as hanging out under the stars. He had numerous hobbies and interests that included collecting Hot Wheels and action figures, fishing, skiing, and camping. His greatest joy was riding his beloved vintage Harley Davidson Fat Boy. He loved the wind in his hair and the sun in his face as he rode to many festivals and bike runs. Andy is preceded in death by his father Bibian Aguilar. He is survived by his mother Rachel Aguilar, grandmother Angelina Barragan, brothers Arthur, Adrian, and Charles Aguilar, and sister Yvonne Heintzelman. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm with Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 9:00am at San Antonio Catholic Church (7451 North Loop). Pallbearers will be brothers Arthur, Adrian, and Charles Aguilar, cousins and close friends. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Andy's engaging smile and contagious laugh will be missed but not forgotten. My deepest sympathies to The Aguilar Family and Cristina. I am so glad I had the privilege of knowing Andy. He was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and always so full of life. He always knew how to make people laugh. He had so much to live for but, he lives on in each and every one of us who knew him. I am sorry that I cannot be there at this time. It breaks my heart to know that one of my two oldest friends is no longer here but rest assure is in our hearts forever. Andy, Lionel and I have been friends as long as our memories and diapers held up. We grew up together and no matter how far apart we lived, we will always be brothers in the heart. I could only wish for that last cruise with Andy on our bikes lasted longer. Mrs. Aguilar, Chuck, Adrian, Charlie and Yvonne....please accept my apologies for I could wish nothing more than to say good-bye to my dearest friend. We were the terrors of Aspen Rd. I grew up with Andy in Presidio. Our parents are great friends and Andy's Godparents. Our prayers are with you all, my parents are so sadend that they cannot attend the funeral. I believe we are all still in shock--our prayers are with you all. He was a great kid, thanks for always helping me feed all the animals Andy and putting my worm on my fishing hook. Dear Aguilar Family,
