Adam, Eric and Sissy,
What a remarable lady Dr. Larson was. She was truly "made in heaven". How she had time for each and every person who needed her knowledge, be it medical or otherwise, she was always there to give encouragement. Not once did I ever hear her say anything negative. I don't think she knew the meaning of the word. We pray God will grant you that peace the only He can give. God bless you.

I am so shocked and saddened. I worked with Anita in 1990 at WBAMC. She was a great mentor and a wonderful, kind-hearted and warm person. I recently returned to El Paso from tours overseas - yesterday I went to WBAMC in search of Anita....I will truly miss this amazing and wonderful woman, doctor, and friend.

Dr. Anita Larson was my friend, my doctor and my family's doctor. Words can't describe how much she'll be missed by myself and by everyone who came in contact with her. She always had time for anyone seeking help and she always treated people as if they were the most important person she could be helping. I will never forget her.

A true physician, who took the time to answer her patients questions. She was always ready to serve the command group of Fort Bliss whenever called upon to do so. She will be greatly missed.

Anita will be missed greatly by all her friends and especially her daughter and sons. We came to El Paso from Michigan and met Anita through her dear friends (the DiGennaros and Lawrences.) She was a very special lady with a wonderful view of life. She always spoke highly of her children and enjoyed numerous trips with them. We will always remember her and our many outings to Juarez for Mexican food. She will be missed!

One of the saddest parts of military service is that we get to meet great people like Doc Larson, and then we move away and lose touch. She touched my life, and I am a better person for it. She was so proud of her grandbaby, and I heard "Laura stories" all the time. Doc Larson was what so many of us physicians strive to be, and what so few of us ever attain. Her fabulous outlook and genuine caring for the people around her set her apart. I will miss her, and my prayers go out to her friends and family.

Dr. Larson was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stiff military hospital environment. She knew how to put things in prospective and cut through the bureaucracy. She gave us her undivided attention during appointments, used a common sense approach in counseling and prescribing and, best of all, provided a big reassuring hug at the end of each visit. Even though we will miss her greatly we know that it will not be nearly as much as her family and friends who loved her. She was a woman of real substance. We are blessed to have known her.

Dear Adam, Erick, and Sissy,
Your mom was not only our mother’s doctor, but also a dear friend to my parents, Ed and Carmen Daley. Many of our family’s memories include her. She and our dad were ski buddies enjoying many trips with their families. Anita was daily comfort and support during Dad’s illness and death. She and mom enjoyed so many wonderful trips together, but especially loved their long week-ends at the cabin in Cloudcroft. Her legacy is her three children of whom she was so proud, her special way of caring for all her patients and friends, her smile and laughter, and her Southern, folksy sayings. I hope it is of some comfort to you to know that Anita’s memory will be kept alive in our hearts as well as the hearts of so many others.
Fondly,
Carmen Daley

Dr. Larson served as my 87 year old mother's physician for many years. She always spoke so highly of Dr. Larson and of the wonderful care she received from her. Dr. Larson would take her calls anytime she phoned and would always fit her into a busy schedule. She has missed Dr. Larson's care and the visits so very much the past several months.
Our hearts go out to you and your family for the loss of such a wonderful woman. We know the Lord will help you through this difficult time.
Thank you for sharing Dr. Larson with us for so many years.
