Cathy will be missed very much by everyone who had any contact with her.
This poem has helped me deal with grieve. Hope it might help some of the family.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the Diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

Words cannot contain how saddened I am to learn of Cathy’s passing. My sincere condolences are sent to your family during this grievous time. I had the pleasure of working with Cathy for a year at CISD before I moved. She was a true asset to EVERYONE with whom she came in contact with. Her love for students and getting “them” what they needed was of utmost importance to her and that only proves what type of heart she had. Our interaction was almost always via telephone but we always found something to laugh about when I would call her to HELP me with finance issues. She made my job easier, knowing she would help in whatever way she could and I can’t think of a time when she wasn’t pleasant, no matter what type of day she was having. I will miss her!

It doesn't seem possible that it has been one week today since Cathy has gone to heaven to be with Joe Ed, Dad, Mom and our other loved ones. The void she left is so great- it still seems un-real. I always thought Cathy would be here for us whenever we needed her, I knew she was a phone call or email away, we took so much for granted. God decided he needed her more so he called her home to be with her son and parents. All of us left will miss her so much and we need to be strong and be there for her husband and sons and their families. Cathy has been a friend and sister to me from the day I married her brother 36 years ago. Cathy loved to pick on everyone and I was no exception, her favorite name for me was suck-up, many years ago I found this great poem about "OTHER MOTHER" and I gave it to my mother-in-law (Cathy's mom) at Christmas and Cathy thought it was so corny and funny, since them I have been the "suck-up", I will miss her so much and never really told her how much I loved and cherished her and her family. God Bless them all and help the boys and Joe through these trying times. Love and prayers Jean and Jim.

I can't begin to tell you how much Jim and I will miss Cathy, we always thought she'd be here for us and was a phone call away, we took her for granted and God needed her more than he thought we did. Her loss is so great and it seems harder today to accept, since part of our life is back to normal, but the life we knew will never be the same without her, Joe Ed, Mom and Dad and Luisa at least we can be comforted that they are all together. Cathy impacted us all, from the day I married her brother 36 years ago to the day she went to heaven, we have been friends and sisters. Cathy always teased me about my relationship to her MOM-Joan (my-mother-in-law) for being a suck-up with a poem I had given Joan around 25 years ago thanking her for Jim and for being my other family. But every word of that was true and it has been a great privelege to be part of this large loving family. We all need to stay in touch and be strong for Joe and the boys. Love and prayers to Joe and Sam, Danny and Bobby and your mom would have been so so proud of you all during these hard times..Love to all- Jim and Jean

I worked with Cathy at Clint High School and I remember our trip to Ruidoso. Her laugh was contagious and remember how speaking about her children and grandkids made her happy. I will miss her very much and I will have her family, friends in my prayers.

Joe & extended family,
We are so sorry for the loss of Kathy. We know she will be terribly missed by all. I remember when Patrick was little & telling me he was going to marry "Kaffey" when he grew up. She was always a very nice person from the time she was a little girl.
Love, Marty {Keagle} & Kenn

I have so many memories of entire weekends and much of the summer wandering around Socorro with Cathy and her big brothers when they would let us tag along. Or playing all by ourselves back behind the house under trees in the little dry irrigation ditches. Her family was like a second family to me growing up. As if I didn't have enough family at home.
I know she is at peace with her Mom and Dad and her son, but she will be missed here.
