E. Warren Pullen II

E. WARREN PULLEN II, 92, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2008 peacefully by the side of his wife Gloria Pullen and granddaughter Valerie Miles. He was born to the late Edward Warren and Alice Pullen in Chicago, IL on December 30, 1915. Mr. Pullen was a longtime resident of El Paso. His aviation exploits began in November 1936 when he made his first solo flight in an open cock pit-Kinner Bi-plane, at South Bend, IN. Pullen relocated to El Paso, TX in 1948 and soon after became associated with Champey's Aviation as sales manager in Cesena. He was the owner of the Bishop/Pullen Insurance Agency as well as Hallmark Insurance Agency and was past president of the El Paso Independent Insurance Agents. In 1995 he was inducted into the El Paso Aviation Hall of Fame. After becoming semi-retired he and his wife Gloria, traveled all over the world. He is survived by his wife Gloria; son Eddie Pullen, Norco, CA; daughters Nancy Frances, Albuquerque, NM, Cindy Hancock Broken Arrow, OK; step-children Ruben Saavedra, El Paso, TX, Manny Saavedra, Sioux City, IA, Henry Saavedra, Austin, TX, and Elvira Cuellar, Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Lois Cechowicz, Oak Park, IL.
