Jimmy Brunt

JIMMY RAY BRUNT danced his way into heaven on June 23, 2010. The celebration of his life will begin with viewing on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East from 5-9 pm. The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 10:00 am.; followed by Graveside Service at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 E. Montana. We will forgo the bad organ music and somber routine. Jimmy hated funerals, so let's raise a glass, deliver our best jokes, tell some stories, listen to his favorite music, and remember him with love. Jimmy loved to Bass fish, gamble, hunt, golf, dance, and just be at home. Jimmy was gifted to us on February 18, 1957 in Carlsbad, NM but spent most of his life in El Paso, TX. He loved being a father, being "Pop" to his grandchildren, and a loving husband to Ruthie. Jim served four years as a proud Marine, was a Supervisor for the Roads and Railroads Dept. at Ft. Bliss for thirteen years, and a Lead Pipeline Tech for El Paso Natural Gas for 19 years. He had recently received a promotion and transfer to Safford, AZ and was looking forward to his new assignment. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Ray Brunt, and mother, Nancy Jean Francis, he is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Ruthie Brunt, his sisters, Nancy Mae Webb and Chris Francis, stepfather, Duane Francis, his loving daughter, Bridget Helen Brunt, his extended family, Molly & Troy Reffett, Melanie and Nate Hansen, his grandchildren, Kaylee Diaz, Ty and Camille Reffett, and Rowan, Carys, and Malloy Hansen. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bakersfield Humane Society.
