HOLA! My name is also Jorge Duenes Sr. from Las Vegas, NV. I wanted to say may the Lord Jesus our Savior be with you during your loss of Jorge. This is so ironic that I also go by the english name of George. Only my grandparents who raised me usually called me Jorge. I was looking for my Geneology and found your husband, father, grandfather etc... My birthday is different it's May 29, 1975. I hope one of gets this message. I didn't realize how really common Duenes is especially in Texas and in Mexico. I pray and know our Lord is merciful and loves us his children. Jorge Duenes from Texas is in heaven with our heavenly father. I hope that you're in peace and if not I pray and ask the Lord to heal the family. If your family would like to connect my email is [email protected]

Sincerely,
Jorge Duenes SR

George, It was a pleasure and an HONOR to work with you at EPCC. You were a prime example as to how a peace officer should conduct himself. With your life experiences, you helped many officers with your wisdom, knowledge and patience and taught the people with less patience some tolerance. The world was made a little better with your presence and you served your purpose in life as the Lord wished very well. Now as you look over us from above, take care of your family. I salute you, Officer Duenes. Rest in peace, you deserve it.

It is with deepest sorrow that I express my condolences to the Dueñes family for their immense loss. I will always remember George as a true courteous gentleman with a beautiful and sweet smile on his face. He worked at EPCC-TV for about 11 years; as co-workers, we talked about his beautiful plans to take fun summer vacation trips with his family; enrolling his little girl in dance classes; his son’s involvement in church. He was a very family oriented man. If I’d ever sent him an e-mail he really enjoyed, he’d tell me he had shared it with his wife, or how my e-mails helped him start the day on a good note. I still remember how happy he was when he moved on to become an EPCC College Police Officer. After that, it was a pleasure running into him during College events-- always with that beautiful and friendly smile that characterized only him. I will never forget meeting him and his family at St. Mark Catholic church, waiting after mass--outside the church--to say hello.
George you will be greatly missed. May God Almighty and Merciful receive your spirit with open arms!
