JOSE CARRASCO Obituary

Jose (Joe) F. Carrasco, 63, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Joe was a quiet, honest man who touched so many with his humble and selfless demeanor. With one look at his kind smile, he would warm our hearts. His eyes spoke of his love for his family and loyalty to his profession. He cherished his family and was forever devoted to those he cared for. He enjoyed his Sunday afternoons listening to oldies and reminiscing of those moments that meant so much. He was a man of few words, but a moment didn't go by when his love wasn't professed to his wife through loving ways. With so much achieved in his own life, he never was one to gloat, but rather spoke proudly of his children's accomplishments. Although being a firm man, his granddaughters had a way of tearing down his walls. With one look, one gesture or one handshake, we felt his genuine love. Not only has he left a profound mark on our family, but also with those he served and protected. His love will live on with his wife of 32 years, Maria Carrasco; his children, Joey (Melissa), Erika, Steven; granddaughters, Laureanna, Mikayla, Camila; brothers and sisters. Visitation: Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home with Rosary at 6:00pm. Funeral mass: Monday, October 26, 2015 at 9:30am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Carmel Cemetery.

We know officer carrasco from John Drugan. We saw him every morning and after school keeping students safe. My son is a 4th grader there and after school today we learned of his passing. Our deepest condolences to carrasco family from Rosales family. We are very saddened by all this. Thank you for your service to our community and especially our kids. My son told me he felt safe during school lockdown drills. He says he remembers Mr carrasco locking doors as well as telling the little ones who were frightened that everything is okay. Your presence will be missed. Thank you for keeping our children safe.
