LILLIE TACKER

1928 - 2017

Lillie Mae Buck Tacker was born on July 3, 1928, in Liberty Hill, Texas, to William Crutchfield Buck and Delia Brown Buck. She passed into the arm of Jesus on July 2, 2017. While growing up in Bertram, Texas, she was a devoted member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In 1948, she was baptized into the Baptist church and remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home. She raised her family in the Christian faith and provided the leadership on how to be a faithful servant. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles and Clarence, her sister Oma and her husband of 44 years John Milton Tacker. Mourning her death are sons Dr. Barry Tacker (Tylene), of Hunter, Texas; Curtis Tacker (Linda) of Round Rock, Texas; Travis Tacker (Jean) of Anthony, New Mexico; and Marilyn Blackburn (Mike) of Dayton, Texas. She was proud of her 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was mostly proud that all 8 grandchildren had university degrees. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Dayton, Texas. Committal Service will be at 9:00am on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
