Pat and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Dick and I met in 1969 and I was blessed to be his friend since that day. I have great memories of his wonderful sense of humor and smile.
May God bless you and your family.

I did not know Richard except as a member of a reading group. Each time he spoke a hush would fill the room, because all his comments were so precise and illuminating.
I am sorry for your loss.

Pat, Hilda and I are so sad that we didn't get to say goodbye to Dick. We had no idea he was ill. I will always remember him as a mentor and a true gentleman. They don't make many like him anymore. Please express our sincere condolences to his children and know that we are praying for you in your time of grief. Joe and Hilda Lewels
