El Paso - Robert Charles Heasley (Bob) was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 9, 2021 at the age of 90. Bob was born to Charles Herbert Heasley and Carol Kay Heasley in El Paso on September 30, 1930. He attended Morehead Grade School. When he was 11 years old, his family moved to Washington, D.C. during WWII. The family then moved back to El Paso in 1945. He attended El Paso High for 2 ½ years and was president of the senior class. He was elected all EPHS Boy. His family eventually moved back to D. C. Bob attended George Washington University for a short time, but returned to El Paso to attend Texas Western College. He worked nights as a clerk for Texas and Pacific Railroad, receiving his degree in 1953. He was president of the SAE Fraternity. He served 2 years at Fort Bliss for his ROTC commission as 2nd Lieutenant. Bob entered the financial advisory business in 1958, becoming General Agent of Lincoln Financial Advisors in 1978, retiring from that position in 1995. He continued to work until his 90th birthday. He had a passion for all things UTEP, serving on; the Development Board for 55 years, the Diamond Jubilee Chair, first Alumnae Presidential Search Committee for Dr. Monroe (1975) and Dr. Natalicio (1988). His UTEP honors included; Gold Nugget Award from the College of Business, El Gran Paisano Award, Distinguished Alum (1988). His El Paso civic activities included; El Paso International Airport Board member and chairman, Bank Boards for First Republic and Interfirst Banks (Chairman), Sierra and Sierra Providence Hospital Board member and chairman, YMCA Board Member (Volunteer of the Year, 1999). Bob also served on the board of the El Paso Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Herbert Kay Heasley. He lost the love of his life, Mary Lou, in 2019, after 65 years of marriage. Survivors include his children, John Mark Heasley (Austin), Jennifer Heasley Lambeth (Andy) (El Paso), and Catherine Anne Heasley (Austin). His grandchildren were the joy of his life: Mary Catherine Lambeth (Austin), Robert Timberlake Lambeth (Chelsea) (Dallas), and Wilson Hamilton Lambeth (San Antonio). They loved their Bob Dad!

Bob was known for his endearing sense of humor and his quick wit. He loved to make people laugh! He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a proud ambassador for El Paso and believed in supporting local organizations. He was a devout Christian who looked forward to being reunited with Mary Lou, living eternally in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. There will be a private family service for Bob, on Saturday, April 17. Robert Charles Heasley (Bob) fue recibido en el Reino de los Cielos el 9 de abril del 2021 a la edad de 90 años. Sus padres fueron Charles Herbert Heasley y Carol Kay Heasley. Nació en El Paso, TX el 30 de septiembre de 1930. Asistió a la escuela primaria Morehead Grade School. Cuando tenía 11 años, su familia se mudó a Washington, D.C. durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Después se mudaron de regreso a El Paso en 1945. Asistió a El Paso High por dos años y medio y fue presidente de la clase de último año. Fue elegido todo EPHS Boy. Su familia finalmente se mudó de regreso a D.C. Ahí, Bob asistió a la Universidad George Washington por un corto tiempo, pero regresó a El Paso para asistir a Texas Western College. Trabajó por las noches como empleado del Texas and Pacific Railroad, recibiendo su título en 1953. Fue presidente de la Fraternidad SAE. Sirvió dos años en Fort Bliss para su comisión del ROTC como segundo teniente. Bob incursionó al negocio de asesoría financiera en 1958, donde se convirtió en Agente General de Lincoln Financial Advisors en 1978, y se retiró de ese puesto en 1995. Continuó trabajando hasta su 90avo cumpleaños. Tenía pasión por todo lo relacionado con UTEP, y continuaba sirviendo. Natalicio (1988). Sus honores en UTEP incluyeron: el Premio Gold Nugget de la Facultad de Negocios, Premio El Gran Paisano y como Alumno Distinguido (1988). Sus actividades cívicas en El Paso incluyeron: Miembro de la Junta Directiva del Aeropuerto Internacional de El Paso y presidente de las Juntas Bancarias de los bancos First Republic e Interfirst (Presidente), Miembro y Presidente de la Junta Directiva del Hospital Sierra y Sierra Providence y Miembro de la Junta Directiva de la YMCA (Voluntario del Año, 1999). Bob también sirvió en la junta directiva del El Paso Country Club, donde disfrutaba jugando al golf con sus amigos. Fue miembro vitalicio de la Primera Iglesia Bautista. Bob fue precedido en muerte por sus padres y su hermano Herbert Kay Heasley. Perdió al amor de su vida, Mary Lou, en el 2019, después de 65 años de matrimonio.
