Robert Tobey Obituary
Robert Wendell Tobey died February 24, 2008 He was 83 years old. Tobey was a long time resident and radio broadcaster from Deming, NM. He owned, KOBE AM in Las Cruces from 1957 to 1967. He owned and operated KOTS AM and KDEM FM in Deming and has partial ownership of KNDN AM and KWYK FM in Farmington, NM. Funeral arrangements have been scheduled at the United Methodist Church in Deming, NM Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lillian, Kitty, and Emily Tobey PEO Scholarship fund, c/o Mrs. Roy Hill, P.O. Box 310, Deming, NM 88031.

I have always admired the way the Tobey family treated each other in good times and bad. Through it all it was clear that love was the foundation. That love for family was rooted in Robert Tobey and passed to his children Emily, Bob and Terry and on to his grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. He has passed from your life on earth, but his love will be with you and your children always.

Mr. Tobey,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and also for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
