Benjamin "Adam" Bock

Benjamin "Adam" Bock, 37, Union, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at his residence.

Adam was born March 5, 1987, to Benjamin Joseph Bock and Robin Gail Schaefferkoetter in Jefferson City. Adam was a graduate of Missouri S&T with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed as an engineer by Fairlane Industries in St. Louis, where he loved his job and coworkers. Adam had a personality that could light up a room. He had a deep, echoing laugh and a dimpled smile that radiated warmth and joy. Adam gave hugs like no other. He was tech-savvy and enjoyed building things, from his own computer to the desk it sat upon. Adam was a cuisine enthusiast and enjoyed creating and improving recipes. He was the light and soul of any gathering. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his mother, Robin Schaefferkoetter, O'Fallon; father, Ben Bock and Ronda Calkins, Rosebud; grandmother, Connie Schaefferkoetter, Owensville; brother, Alexander and wife Jesse, Cornelius, North Carolina; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eldon and Mary Bock, Victor Schaefferkoetter, and Dr. Walter and Shirley Luehr.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the funeral home with the Rev. Stephanie DeLong officiating.

Burial will be at Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville.

Memorials requested for Owensville Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
