Douglas Maki Obituary

Douglas Maki, 39, Union, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at his home.

Mr. Maki, the son of Charles McGee and wife Cynthia, was born March 30, 1973, in Provo, Utah.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the Army Reserves to date.

On Feb. 20, 2005, Mr. Maki was united in marriage to Tobi Weible in Washington.

He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Villa Ridge, where he led the men's Bible study. Mr. Maki owned and operated his own business, "Your IT Department." He loved hunting with his children and being the best father he could be.

Mr. Maki was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Ethel Marshall and Empress McGee; uncle, Don Marshall Jr.; and aunt, Sandy Marshall.

He is survived by his wife, Tobi Maki, Union; nine sons, James Maki, Quentin Weatherly, Matt Maki, Connor Weatherly, Nick Maki, Kortland Maki, Daniel Maki, Haeden Maki and Easton Maki; three daughters, Sarah Maki, Julie Maki and Kennedy Weatherly; parents, Charles and Cynthia McGee, Washington; three brothers, Timothy McGee and wife Mary of Nashville, Tenn., Evan Maki, Baltimore, Md., and John Maki and wife Katherine, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Kelly Brandwein and husband Paul, Warrenton; grandparents, Eddy and Millie Maki, Utah state; two uncles, Bobby McGee and Mitchell McGee; three aunts, Charlie Bank, Carol Miles and Tamar Daugherty; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at First Baptist Church, Villa Ridge.

Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. at the church with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating.

Interment with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Doug Maki Memorial Fund are preferred.

Arrangements were made by Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.
