Jane Ellen Bates, nee Pope, 61, Washington, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, in Washington.

Mrs. Bates, daughter of the late Raymond Pope and wife Norma, nee Maupin, was born Sept. 28, 1955, in Washington. She worked as a production worker at Impact in Sullivan for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and taking in some QVC in her spare time.

She is survived by three children, Mark Pope and wife Kristi, Washington, Kelly Hawkins, and Lisa Robinson and husband Brien, all of Jefferson City; one brother, Kenny Pope and wife Judy, Washington; four sisters, Patricia Isgriggs and husband Jason Sr., Union, Darlene Davis, Sarasota, Fla., Judy Boisselle, Vancouver, Wash., and Debbie Willhelm, Washington; 13 grandchildren; her boyfriend, Bob Schiller, Washington; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Bates was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Norma Pope, and one brother, Jimmy Pope.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.

Funeral services will follow, beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken McDonnell officiating.
