Shirley Ham Obituary
Shirley, daughter of the late Alvin Kappelmann and wife Genevieve, nee Filla, was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Washington. She received her education from Washington High School. On June 13, 1990, she was united in marriage to Peter Ham. Shirley enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, sewing, fishing and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Among her survivors are her children, Debbie Keith, Washington, Kevin Maune and wife Ginger, David Maune, all of Union, and Gary Maune, Gray Summit; three stepchildren, Deborah Rowden and husband Boyd, St. Clair, Joan Graham and husband Jerry, Union, and James Ham, Villa Ridge; two brothers, Charlie Kappelmann and wife Betty, Sullivan, and Tom Kappelmann and wife Gail, Willow Springs; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter Ham; daughter, Wendy Latham; two siblings, Betty Helsee and Don Kappelmann; and great-great-granddaughter, Georgia Ann Buchanan.
Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 10, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
A Mass of Christian burial followed at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church,Washington.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Borgia Grade School.
Arrangements were in care of Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
