I just now saw this about Colleen's passing. My mother, Evelyn Rodgers, used to live next door to Colleen, on 35th Avenue. Colleen was so precious and caring, always looking out for my mom. She'd bring over bread she had baked and always was genuinely interested in helping my mother, who was deaf. We were so grateful Colleen and Bob were here thoughtful neighbors. When I would come to visit my mom from Aurora, IL, Colleen and I would have some lovely chats. May she forever rest in glory for she owned a beautiful soul.

Sending my condolences to Candy and her wonderful family. I remember your mom so well, and she was always so nice to me whenever I was at your house. My son, Denny, lives in your old neighborhood off of 30th Street, so I drive past your old house often and think of the fun we used to have. God bless and hope you are all well.

I loved Colleen. We had so much fun when we were younger and our husbands were alive. She was the closest thing I ever had to a sister. May she Rest In Peace.
