I only met Dean once but knowing his family well and learning what a wonderful man he was, makes hearing of his passing very heartbreaking.
My sincerest condolences to one of the best families I have ever had the privilege to know.
Time has a way of getting away from us and keeps us at times from those we love. It is when someone we love passes that we realize more and more how important it is to show our love and gratitude to our loved ones as often as we can.
God bless his soul and may he rest in peace.

Gordie & Kiko Villalon are saddened by the news of Dean's death, and regret not being able to be there today. Kiko has just gotten out of the hospital, and he is doing well but is not able to travel. We will remember Dean, whom we've known since the 1970's, during the early days on Useppa. We send our very best wishes and our condolences to all the family.

Dean had a quiet strength. He never needed to be the center of a conversation. Instead he listened quietly. When a decision had to be made, he knew what should be done and did it. Useppa needed him after Hurricane Charley and he was here. He and his family helped rebuild a devastated island. Thank you Dean for taking such good care of us.
