Berta Stephens Obituary
Berta Stephens, age 94 and a longtime resident of Enterprise, Alabama, died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center. A private family service was held at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating. Burial followed in Meadowlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by daughters Judy Thomas (Bob), Patty McCorkle, Debbie Patrick, and Pam Kreis (Mike); grandchildren Bubba Thomas (Sabrina), Stephen Thomas, Jill Reed (Sean), Anna Patrick (David), Lolly Swicegood (Chris), Paige Spurgeon (Hunter) and Ashley Vette (Brandt); great grandchildren Taylor Thomas (Catherine), Kaitlin Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Averi Zalabak, Charlotte Reed, Ella Reed, Clara Patrick, Lucian Swicegood, Lila Swicegood, Max Vette, Hank Vette, and Whitt Vette; great great grandchild, Walton Thomas.
Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Stephens; son, Jimmy Stephens; parents, F. I. Seymore and Mattie Seymore; sons-in-law, Mike McCorkle and Rob Patrick; three brothers and five sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama.
