Linda Neas Obituary

Linda Smith Neas

Linda Smith Neas, of Enterprise, AL, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at her home. She was 75.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time. In honor of Linda, attendees are encouraged to wear red, a color that she loved. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, 2550 N Hollywood Way #302, Burbank, CA 91505 or www.mhopus.org.

Linda was very artistic, being a painter, quilter, and avid sewer. She enjoyed making jewelry, playing the organ, and piano. She retired from teaching in 2002 after many years as an English major. In her free time she also enjoyed swimming in her pool, world travel, and fishing. She always had a smile on her face and laughter that remains always.

Survivors include her husband, George Marcus Neas III; two sons, Marc Kinza Johnson (Sara) and Alex Wayne Johnson (Christian); stepdaughter, Helen Balls (James); three grandchildren, Kahlan, Seth and Samuel; and half-brother, Ackley Smith.
