David John Sabo

1946 - 2017

David John Sabo, age 71, of Sebring, Florida, died Thursday February 2, 2017, peacefully in his home.

David was born in Girard, Pa. on January 22, 1946. He was the son of Julius and Barbara (Chuzie) Sabo.

David retired in 2004 after working for 32 years at General Electric in Erie Pa. as a machine operator.David loved to laugh. He appreciated sharing a good joke with his daughters or a friend while playing pool at the various Moose Clubs he would visit. He loved to dance and listen to live music. He loved sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He enjoyed betting a pizza with his family members when it came to who would win the sport games. He adored his daughters, son in laws and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them as often as his trips up north would allow. David was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Aurora Park, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Terry, his parents, an infant son, Gregory Michael, his step-father Elba Braley and a sister RoseMarie.

David is survived by his three daughters, Lisa and Shawn Nagy of Erie, Pa., Stephanie and Jarrod Maleno of Erie, Pa., Gina and Richard Zmijewski of Ypsilanti, Michigan, brothers, Robert Sabo of North East Pa., and Steve Sabo of California, six grandchildren, Joshua (Casey) Isabella and Gabriella and Richard, Jr., David, Michael, a great-granddaughter Layla, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 10th from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St, Conneaut, Ohio. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 11th at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 480 State St., Conneaut with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.
