Jessica, Joey, Mark, Karen, Cindy,
I am so very sorry to have heard your dad, brother, friend and my special cousin has passed from this world to the next. Although I've lived far away for a long time, there was always joy when we did again speak or visit. Joe had a great smile. I spoke of him very recently with my brother Don Anderson, remembering the little league baseball teams. And I will never forget his loving heart, when he would check on my Mom Sophie in her elder years, and take her for lunch after my own father Fred was no longer there to do so. Joe liked to call me "Cousin Deb" which I always found to be endearing, so I'd call him "Cousin Joe" when we sent Christmas cards. Jessica and Joey, I'm sure your Dad was very proud of you. And Mark, I know you had a special bond. Joe will stay in our hearts always. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sending you all a big hug, Debra Spears, Lansdale, PA

Tech Memorial 1967

March 2, 2013

The Tech Memorial class of 1967 would like to offer sincere condolences on the passing of our classmate Joe Ganska. Many classmates have remembrances of pickup baseball games on the old Elm street field with Joe. We hope his family will take joy in recognizing the many friends he made in life. May God rest his soul and show him a path to heaven lined with baseball bats and balls.

To the children of Joe Ganska, sorry to hear of the passing of your father, your dad and I worked many years together at General Electric, we had some great and funny times together.

March 2, 2013

The community lost a great man who was very active in boys baseball during my youth as well as years before and after. A real ambassador for youth baseball, he helped many kids become better kids that later shaped them into better men by the values you taught them at a young age. I remember the Saturday umpiring classes you taught some of us during the summers. He had such knowledge for the game and made all of us better by being around you. May your soul rest in peace
