Joseph Krzeszewski Obituary

Joseph “Scooter” Krzeszewski Joseph “Scooter” Krzeszewski, 86, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born May 30, 1921 in Erie, son to the late Leon Krzeszewski and Mary Siwiecki Krzeszewski. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Pacific with the Navy. Joe was an electrician, master pattern maker, and butcher. He was an employee at Standard Pattern Works for years. His hobbies included woodworking and making Polish sausage at the holidays. He enjoyed helping others and volunteered at the Boys’ Club on 12th and Wallace Streets. He also served as an usher at Sacred Heart Church. He was preceded in death by his three brothers Edward, Stanley, and Walter Krzeszewski. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Rewers Krzeszewski whom he married in 1944; three children, Joseph Krzeszewski, wife Susan of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gary Krzeszewski, wife Sue of Erie, and daughter Lynette Krzeszewski Prescott of Erie; eight grandchildren Joseph, Michelle, Lori, Amy, Tami, Heather, Emily, and Matthew Joseph; one great granddaughter Faith; and his buddy Coco; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 Sassafras Street on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service at the funeral home Friday morning at 11:30 followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 816 W. 26th Street, at 12 p.m. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com Burial with full military honors at Gate of Heaven.
