I think of Mike so often, and my heart is so sad that we didn't connect the last few years of his life., I was busy having kids and starting education for a new career. When I left Erie in 1998, we became old school pen pals and I still hold his letters dearly. These past 21 years flew by...

I, too, am at a distance and was unable to attend Mike's service. I am deeply sad about this whole thing, as are many. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I learned a bit more about his loving siblings and various friends that I knew little about. It is apparent that Mike was deeply loved and from his family's postings, they are just as fabulously special as Mike. THAT is A Delight I can take from this; my heart is lightened to sense the positive natures of Mike's family and loving friends. Thanks to everyone for posting. I do not feel as removed now.
Sincerely, One of Mike's Many Fans, Maggi Budd
(PS: I knew Mike from high school and friends, went to Serenity West with him in 1984 and attended school with him at EUP and remained friends during his many struggles and continuing).

There are so many special memories of the times we spent together over the years. I can't believe that he's gone.
I remember my last visit with Michael at Aunt Ethel's passing. He had the most positive attitude and the brightest smile. That's how we'll remember him.
Our family lifts you all in prayer and in our thoughts.
We love you all.

An opportunity to remember the things about Michael...or rather that we should never forget. Scenic Crest...we'd like to say we knew Chubs before he wore shoes; Troop and I actually thought he was one of ours; that kid sitting on the floor of the family room reading books and being too shy to stay for suppers. Later he rode one means of transportation or another, bikes, riding mowers, ice dunes on the hill and there was the Great Orange Pumpkin Volvo! He was always there to offer help, like help finding a giant smelly ugly RED carpet from someones trash for the clubhouse...which everyone decided would look better at the landfill. Michael grew up so fast but he never forgot to call on special days or just to say he was thinking of you that day. He was chosen to be Best Man for the Wedding of Thom and Bridgid. Catalog shots of he and the party were the Best! He was so handsome and gave a sterling toast. We'll miss you Michael... save us a seat. Miz Cooper

Mike’s family truly appreciates your entries into this guest book. In sad times such as these, it is nice to know he meant so much to so many. I think we were all touched by how many people attended the memorial and burial in Erie and we understand more people would have made it if they were not so far away. From this tragedy I hope everyone is inspired to give your loved ones an extra hug, tell them how much they really mean to you and treasure every day. Mike, I hope you are at peace.

To Hilda, Sue, Bill, David and Steve, my dearest family so far away. My heart aches for all of us, especially all of you. Michael was such a kind, loving and gentle man. A wonderful brother, uncle and friend. He will truly be missed by many. Its just so hard to believe. I wish that I could have been there to share in your pain. Try and remember though, he has been reunited with your dad, he loved and missed him so much. God has him now, his troubled soul has finally found peace. My prayers are with you, I love and miss you all. Until we can all be together again, with love Sue~

My memories of Michael are limited to him as a beautiful blond curly headed baby and child. I remember the day he was born and how the Allards were excited to meet their newest brother. My heart is now saddened for this family who must for the present time say goodbye to him.I believe life and love reach far beyond this world. I pray each of Michael's loved ones will find peace and comfort during this time. God bless you all!

To Ruth and Michael's Family -
I was completely saddened by the news of Michael's death. I had the privilege of graduating from McDowell with Michael, but it was not until 17 years later that our paths crossed again and remembered the kind, kind person that he was from high school. No boundaries in school ever kept him from being a friend to all. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to see him in his adult life. Michael will be remembered as a strong person with an incredibly big heart. May God comfort Ruth and the rest of Michael's family until they meet again.
