Nettieanne Black Gorczycki

Nettieanne Black Gorczycki, 80, of Erie, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 29, 1929 in Johnsonburg, Pa., daughter of the late John J. and Bessie C. Atwater Black. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed landscape painting in oil, and gardening- especially roses. She loved and was devoted to her family. Mrs. Gorczycki was a secretary for many years, being employed by the PA Bureau of Employment Security in Warren, Pa., the Internal Revenue Service, and General Electric Co. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond J. Gorczycki in 1996, an infant daughter Deborah Ann, and three brothers: Joseph, Wesley, and Paul S. Black. Survivors include a son James Gorczycki, wife Gail of Corry; a daughter Cynthia Grocki and husband Peter of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren, Miranda Alison and Daniel Aaron Grocki, all of Portland, Ore.; a brother Charles H. Black of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters Betty Marion Jenkins, husband Carl of Sugar Grove, Pa.; and Angeline Johnson, husband Lynton of St. Helen, Mich. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. Private burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
