Paula Mayer Obituary
Paula Kathleen LeSuer Mayer, age 40, of Waterford, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at UPMC Hamot, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Erie, on March 6, 1974, a daughter of Elmer A. III. and Judy Chappel LeSuer.
Paula was a 1992 General McLane High School graduate, and went on to receive her BS degree in psychology, from Edinboro University in 1996.
She started her career at Rentway and then moved to Signal Tech, where she worked with a great group of colleagues and friends.
Paula was a member of the McKean United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer II. and Pearl LeSuer and Lew and Pauline Chappel and her father-in-law, Dennis Mayer Sr.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Doug L. Mayer; a daughter, Taylor "Lady Bug" Ann Mayer; a son, Dillon Zark Mayer; and two brothers, Elmer LeSuer IV (Leslie) and their daughter of Kingston, N.Y. and Brian LeSuer and Kelly Stephens and children of Meadville, Pa. She is further survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave.), on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a service at the McKean United Methodist Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Barbara English officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Pearls of Hope Relay For Life West County ACS, 2115 W. 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.

Though I haven't seen Paula in over 20 years, the news somehow hit me hard. Such fond memories of a smiling, fun, sweet teenager and friend. It is no surprise to read here that she hadn't changed. May God's love and peace shine on the LeSuer and Mayer families in the memory of Paula's love and infectious smile.

Paula and I worked at RentWay together. She was a special person. We used to go to lunch and even went line dancing a few times. My prays go out to her family especially her children. She will be missed.
