Joan Apple Obituary
She was born January 19, 1933 in Riegelsville, PA and was the daughter of the late Maynard and Grace (Scott) Young.
She will be missed by her children, Scott Apple (Carlene) and Sheila Collins; grandchildren, Erin Souders (Ken), Chad Collins (Katie) and Lauren Apple-Davison (Andrew); great grandchildren, Laura and Samantha Nagy, Cayden and Dakotah Collins and Forman Souders; great great grandchildren, Prometheus and Achilles Solomon and Lyla Nagy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 305 Delaware Rd., PO Box 188, Riegelsville, PA 18077. Interment will follow in the Riegelsville Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 until 10:30 when the Order of the Eastern Star service will begin. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. For more information, go to the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home website.

I met Joan at the fire house and we ladies auxiliary sure had a lot of fun working working the events. Then we got to making cookies & they asked me to help paint them. Oh what fun Joan & Shiela we're to do that with. I sure do miss those happy days. May you rest in eternal peace Joan, I love & miss you so much. Say hi to Joe for me please.

Joan was one of the first to welcome my wife Carol & Ibwhen we moved to The"Ville" in 2007 & suggested since we're Lutheran that we join St.Peters. From there we went on to joining the fire company. Loved her sense of humor & her wealth of knowledge about Riegelsville. We are losing a very dear friend & we offer our most sincere condolences to the family. Heaven is adding another angel

Joan was my mother's cousin (my mother was Bette Young Johnson). While I've lost touch with the Apple family over the years, I do have fond memories from growing up, and I send my heartfelt condolences to Scott, Sheila, and all of her family. It's beautiful that she lived to see great great grandchildren.
