Jimmy Reese Obituary
Jimmy Harold Reese, 73, of Eufaula, AL, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 28, 2022, at 3 P.M., at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with James Williams officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing. The visitation was held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal shelter.
Born June 19, 1949 in Linz, Austria, Jimmy was the son of the late John Thomas and Wilfreida Mueller Reese, Jr. of Geneva, AL. Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam and attaining the rank of Sergeant. After an honorable discharge in 1971, he began his career as a police officer. He retired from the Eufaula Police Department in 2007 as a Lieutenant after more than 36 years in law enforcement. In his free time, Mr. Reese enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to casinos, taking cruises, and playing with his dogs.
Survivors include three sons: Scott Reese, Michael Reese (Tim), and Jason Reese; four daughters: Missy (Robert) Cade, Stephanie (Alan) Wells, Laura (Gary) O'Neal, and Rhonda Hudson; 11 grandchildren: (Eric, Dylan, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Lexi, Cole, Shayne, Colten, Hallie, Austin, and Chloe), and six great-grandchildren: (Brynleigh, McKinley, Taylor, Aubree, Rilynn, and Parker); two brothers, and one sister.
Active pallbearers were Chris Watson, Tim Marsh, Charles Bowman, David Moore, Tyrone Smith and Ryne Ming.
