Allen Wagner Obituary

SPRING GROVE Allen E. Wagner, 43, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, February 3, 2009 at Hanover Hall following a lengthy illness. He was born in York, a son of Ray A. Wagner and Ruth M. (Bish) Wagner, both of Spring Grove. He was previously employed at Wayneco Kitchens in York as a Formica fabricator. Allen graduated with the Susquehannock High School Class of 1983. He was a member of St. Paul's (Dub's) Lutheran Congregation in Hanover. In addition to his parents, Allen is survived by two sisters, Sally M. Smith of Seven Valleys, and Susan M. Aten of Spring Grove; a half brother, David L. Wagner of Hanover; and six nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Allen will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Irwin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with his pastor, the Rev. David L. DeLong officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in St. Peter's (Lischey's) Cemetery following the service. I'm sorry I just found out of Allen's passing. I went to school and rode the school bus with him. I remember him telling me about raising worms and other fishing bait in his back yard. He was a good guy and I am sorry for the families loss.
