Andrew Orris Obituary

EAST BERLIN Andrew Orris, 76, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at his home. Born, August 28, 1932 in Hopewell Twp., he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Knaub) Orris. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda L. (Blevins) Orris; son, Douglas A. Orris, and wife Wendy S. (Tipler); granddaughter, Liza Marie Orris of East Berlin; brothers, John Calvin and Daniel Orris of York; and sister, Lois Billet of New Oxford. Preceding Andrew in death were brother, Joseph Orris; and sisters, Rebecca Orris, Sarah Spangler, and Mary Lund. Andrew retired from Round Hill Foods, New Oxford, in 1995 after several years of service. He was a member of East Berlin V.F.W., Hanover Amvets, McSherrystown Home Association, New Oxford Social Club, Shiloh American Legion, York Viking Club, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1954 during the Korean Conflict. No services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Auer Cremation Services of PA, Inc., Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1-800227-2345.
