Frank J. Friedel

WESTMINSTER, MD Frank Joseph Friedel, 98, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at his home. Born March 13, 1916, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Ellen (McGilley) Friedel. He was a loving husband for 57 years to the late Ida L. (Shortt) Friedel, who passed away in 2004. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army as a veteran of WWII. He was an automobile mechanic until his retirement at the age of 80 for Central Service and Repair in Baltimore, Md. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Reisterstown, Md. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Helen L. and Jim Lewis of Westminster and Frankie F. and Mike Crosby of Hanover; grandson, Benjamin Bollinger and his wife Monica, and great-grandsons, Noah and Jarrod Bollinger, all of Harrisburg; and sister, Alice Friedel of Bel Air, Md. He was predeceased by three sisters, Ella, Marie and Ann. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
