Gary Laughman Obituary

HANOVER Gary Lee Laughman, 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at York Hospital. Born September 18, 1945 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Albert Pius, Sr. and Catherine E. (Hardy) Laughman. Gary Lee was employed for a number of years with Klinedinst and Reichart Lumber, Hanover, and later with Hanover Cold Storage. He was an avid NASCAR fan and in particular Jimmy Johnson. Gary Lee liked hunting deer and watching Baltimore Orioles games. His favorite times were spent with his best friends and pet dogs, "Coby" and "BudBud". Mr. Laughman is survived by his nieces, Sandra Fissel of Spring Grove and Diane Kuhn of New Oxford; and his nephew, Allen Laughman, Sr. of Hanover. He was preceded in death by his brother Albert P. "Manny" Laughman, Jr. A service to celebrate the life of Gary Lee Laughman will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with Rev. Fred Mummert officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mummert's Meeting House Cemetery, East Berlin. For those desiring contributions in Gary Lee's memory may be made to the S.P.C.A., 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
