It's difficult to be happy at a time like this. Just remember Jake is still very much alive in heaven. Only his body sleeps, not his spirit. Jake is looking down on us now, so look up and smile and say hello to heaven's newest angel.

Bob & Shirley: Although we don't know each other, I feel compelled to reach out to you, as I truly understand what you're going through. My daughter, Megan K.M. Birgensmith (best friend of Alicha), died as a result of a car accident in 2007. She was 21 years old. Even though I've gone through a similar situation, it's still hard to know what to say. Mere words are not going to take away your pain and grief. This will happen, little by little, with the passing of time. Some day, the focus will be more on the good memories, and on the joy that Jake brought into everyone's life. And just know that there are many people that hold you in their hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

Bobby, Craig and Reece I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. As I watched you grow up together and then sharing memories last evening through pictures and words you all shared a special love. Just stay close and close to Jordan because through him you'll see Jake. I love you all. Aunt Bonnie
