Richard Grove Obituary

EAST BERLIN Richard W. Grove, Sr., 65, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007, at the home of his caretaker, Dawn Crowl Reickert, with whom he resided. Richard was born August 23, 1941, in West Virginia, the son of the late Clyde and Nellie Bushey Grove. He was a retired truck driver and attended Valley Forge Military Academy. Richard was also a former Fire Forest Warden Mr. Grove was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dillsburg. He was a life member of the F.O.Eagles #970, L.O. Moose, and The Elks Clubs, all of Williamsport. He was a member of West York Fire Co. #1 and Union Fire Co., York. He was also a 35 year member of the Boy Scouts of America. Richard is survived by his sons, Richard W., Jr. of East Berlin and Brian E. of York Springs; his ex-wife, Joanne Grove of East Berlin; his granddaughter, Heather Grove; and numerous stepchildren. He was predeceased by his daughters, Debbie and Sharon Grove. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Olive United Cemetery, Lake Meade Road, East Berlin, with the Rev. Patrick J.
