Robert Musselman Obituary

Robert A. "Curly" Musselman Sr., 76, entered into God's eternal care Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Geraldine "Babe" (Rang) Musselman, his wife of 54 years. Born Aug. 19, 1928, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Frank and Goldie (Leese) Musselman. He was retired from Gene Latta Ford in Hanover. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Hanover; the Hanover VFW; and a life member of the McSherrystown Home Association. Surviving in addition to his wife, are one daughter, Jean Bowersox of Hanover; three sons, Michael R. Musselman and his wife Holly, Robert A. Musselman Jr. and his wife Mary, all of Hanover, and David L. Musselman and his wife Molly of Bonneauville; three grandchildren, Melanie Musselman, Joshua Musselman, and Ashley Musselman; two stepgrandchildren, Megan Fitzpatrick and Erin Fitzpatrick; and two brothers, Raymond Musselman and Donald Musselman, both of Hanover. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Reigle, Edna Musselman, and Nancy Caler; and a brother, John Musselman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown, with full military honors being provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with a prayer service to be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Square Commercial Center, 1 Center Square, Suite 4, Hanover, PA 17331.
