Lynn e-mailed me the sad news. I e-mailed her back that I had not really known Sharon well, but always felt when I was with her that I had known her all my life. When I e-mailed that to Lynn she replied that Sharon "was a wonderful person." I am so sorry for this great loss. My heart and sympathy goes out to you all.

Scott, Steve and Shelley. So sorry to hear about your mom. She held a special place in the Balek family and "Tootsie" will be surely missed! Not a day goes by on a Sunday morning when I'm making her famous fried potatoes and onions that I don't think of her showing me how to make them when I worked for her so many years ago. She was a special lady for sure! Hang in there! xo Vicki Balek-Staub

Our family has always looked forward to having breakfast at the Lil Red Schoolhouse. It was even more special for us when I discovered that we were related to Sharon. We shared the same great great grandfather (Jonathan Dehoff born in 1795). Sharon was precious and we will meet up with her again in the sweet bye and bye.
