I saw you leave on the stretcher to the amblulance through the window of your restaurant. I have only fond memories and no regrets. I do not get this newspaper and did not find out about your passing until the following Monday. You will be missed. love, your friend, Rikki.

So sorry to hear this sad news; just loved coming to Little Red Schoolhouse for the infamous breakfasts, specially the old black skillet home-fried potatoes; Ms Sharon always had a kind word for everyone. Scott, Steve, Shelley Love, Hugs and prayers being sent your way as you move through the grief process. Know we are here when you need that extra strength. My Sis Joy you will know well. Sharon was so sweet and funny and kind. My Parents so loved coming to her Lil Red School House. She will be so missed by all her friends and we her family. Scott, Shelly & Steve - I just got back in town Saturday and heard of your mom's passing she will be missed. God must have needed another angel your mom will be a good one. I will always remember how she would make me feel like one of the family and all the good times we had growing up together on the boat.

Scott, Shelly & Steve - I just learned of your Mother's passing today and please accept my deepest sympathy and apologies that I wasn't there today. I just had no idea. What a wonderful woman your mother was and how she made me part of your family for the years that I worked for the car company. I'm so glad that I was still able to see her over the past years and she always greeted me with a hug just like those old days!!I would never forget my years with your family and wouldn't ever trade them. The Good Lord has another Angel with himin Heaven.Sharon was a close friend many years with the Balek family,We enjoyed a few great meals at the little redschooihouse,food was great.She was a wonderful,cheerful woman and we all loved her,God bless all her family!

Lynn e-mailed me the sad news. I e-mailed her back that I had not really known Sharon well, but always felt when I was with her that I had known her all my life. When I e-mailed that to Lynn she replied that Sharon "was a wonderful person." I am so sorry for this great loss. My heart and sympathy goes out to you all.

Scott, Steve and Shelley. So sorry to hear about your mom. She held a special place in the Balek family and "Tootsie" will be surely missed! Not a day goes by on a Sunday morning when I'm making her famous fried potatoes and onions that I don't think of her showing me how to make them when I worked for her so many years ago. Our family has always looked forward to having breakfast at the Lil Red Schoolhouse. It was even more special for us when I discovered that we were related to Sharon. We shared the same great great grandfather (Jonathan Dehoff born in 1795). Sharon was precious and we will meet up with her again in the sweet bye and bye.

We have been neighbors for almost 14 yrs. Our two oldest children have been over there to help out, in the kitchen, over the yrs. and my husband has earned free saus. gravy for being a handyman,lol. We will miss you Sharon..fly high!!

I am so very sorry for your loss! Sharon was a beautiful person inside and out! I remember going over to her house, in our earlier years and she almost always had a pan of fried potatoes on the stove (they were delicious!).
