Stanley Joseph Wysocki

Hanover - Stanley Joseph Wysocki, 91, of Hanover, PA, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, in Hanover after a brief illness following a diagnosis of kidney cancer.

Born May 1, 1929, in Hudson, PA, he was the son of George and Sophie Wysocki, two Polish immigrants.

His wife, Margaret Elizabeth Edna Wysocki (Kennish), died in 2010.

He will be missed by his five children, Christina McNabb of Marshall, VA, Joseph Wysocki of Dover, Peggy Trimmer of Hanover, George Wysocki of New Oxford, and Bryant Wysocki of Taberg, NY; his 14 grandchildren, Eric Trimmer, Nicholas Wysocki, Robert McNabb Jr., David McNabb, Caroline Buehrle, Joel Trimmer, Joseph Wysocki, Dusty Wysocki, Jacob Wysocki, Paul Trimmer, Heather Fulcher, Skyler Swiecki, Summer Wysocki, and Rowan Wysocki; and his 21 great-grandchildren.

Stanley was a retired member of the U.S. Air Force and a Vietnam War veteran. He was a long-time legislative assistant to Pennsylvania State Rep. Steven Nickol and served as a West Manheim Township supervisor for 10 years. As township supervisor, Stanley was instrumental in planning and obtaining funding for the West Manheim Township Recreation Park. His other jobs included manager of McCrory's five and dime in Hanover, investigator for the Pennsylvania Treasury, and salesman at Columbia Jewelers in Hanover.

Stanley enjoyed fishing, gourmet cooking, and high-tech gadgets. He also played the accordion and loved the polka.

Stanley had many good friends, but special thanks go to Elliot, Lark, Paul, and Greg for their companionship in Stanley's later years.

According to his wishes, there will be no funeral ceremony. Stanley's body will be cremated and his ashes scattered beside his wife's.

My heart felt sympathy goes out to all of the Wysocki Clan. Stan’s pasting brought back a flood of great memories again, from when they lived at their lake house on Black Rock Rd. As a neighbor, their house was my home away from home and they always treated me like family. Although Stan and Marge are gone, my memories will live on. Until me meet again on the other side, Rest In Peace! Kim I. Myers
