Genia Kathleen "Katie" Anderson

1926 - 2017

Mrs. Genia Kathleen "Katie" Anderson, 90, of Bartlesville, died at 11:20 A.M. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Brookdale North Assisted Living where she had been a resident for the past 2 ½ years.
Visitation will be at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 8 PM each day and the family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion with Mr. Lloyd Landers, lay minister of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Anderson was born at Wann, Oklahoma on December 30, 1926 the daughter of Milo Eldred and Bobby (Moody) Witter. She was raised in Bartlesville and attended College High School. She was married to Victor G. Anderson on May 5, 1942 in Independence, Kansas. They made their home in Bartlesville and she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Anderson was employed for Dr. Bogan for nine years and later worked for Cities Service Oil Company/Occidental until her retirement in 1984. Katie was a beautiful, giving, kind hearted person. She loved to cook and do things for others and her grandchildren were the love of her life. Following her retirement, she loved traveling with the First Baptist Church group, the Gold Club and the Senior Advantage Bank of Oklahoma group. She also liked doing crafts, sewing, knitting and quilting, which was her passion. She loved all of the staff at the Brookdale North Assisted Living and even helped with the cooking. She will be missed deeply.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by one daughter, Vickie Berner and husband Steve of Bartlesville, one brother, Milo Witter and wife Mary Ann of Nowata, two grandsons, Danny Stout and wife Coleen, Rob Berner, one granddaughter, Stephanie Berner Solenberger and husband Chris, two great grandsons, Steven Stout and wife Kyndal and Cody Stout and wife Sarah, five great granddaughters, Sayward Stout, Maliha Berner, Aneesa Berner, Peyton Solenberger and Bethany Solenberger, three great great grandsons, Logan, Hayden and Cooper, two great great granddaughters, Presley and Piper a sister-in-law, Belle Anderson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vic Anderson in 1987, a daughter, Shirley Jean Anderson Stout in 1973, a granddaughter, Tammy Stout, her mother, Bobby Moody Pearson, her father, Milo Eldred Witter, a brother, Marvin Gowan, and two sisters, Betty Ewing and Marilyn Baldwin.
