Larry Brandenburg Obituary

On April 15, 2011, Tulsa lost a beautiful soul and heaven gained a wonder and gifted sax player with a heart of gold.
Larry was born on May 2, 1967, in Bartlesville, OK to Patricia Elaine and Stephen Brandenburg. He later moved to Delaware, OK in 1972, with his mother and stepfather Jack G. Lee. He resided in Broken Arrow in 1975, moved to Catoosa, OK in 1980, where he resided until his death.
He had attended Catoosa High School, Class of '85. He started work as a young man and learned the construction business working with his stepfather, one of the owners of MJ Lee Construction Company, and later formed his own company, Brandenburg Concrete Construction Co. He was acting foreman at DJ Construction at the time of his death.
Larry had a passion for his music, motorcycles, restoration of an old GTO and an even greater passion for his family, friends and animals. He had performed with his sax for numerous Tulsa bands.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia Elaine Lee and Jack G. Lee, second mom Betty J. Lee, his biological father Stephen Brandenburg, grandmother Jane Baldwin-Dillon, three aunts Wanda Sue Chaney, Jannette Ramsey and Nancy Majors, and an uncle James, L. Baldwin, Jr., a stepbrother Danny Lee, stepsister Debbie Rose, as well as numerous cousins and other family members.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandfather James L. Baldwin, Sr..
Visitation will be from 12 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, until 9 p.m. Wednesday and funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
Donations are asked in his memory to Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc, Tulsa OK.
