Timothy Dahl Obituary

Timothy John Dahl, 59, Landman for Gateway Resources, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his Barnsdall home. Timothy was born on September 15, 1957 to parents Tommy and Lola Ann (Smith) Dahl. He attended Barnsdall schools, and was a member of the 1975 graduating class. As Tim said, ""He began working in the oil fields before he could drive"". Tim loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gun collector. He was also a big OU fan. He went to Kaw Lake to fish in the spring and hosted Dahl Deer Camp every fall at Osage Hills. Tim and his father hunted together his entire life, and that was always a special bond that they shared. Tim loved the camaraderie of the hunting camp more than the actual hunting itself. He was an excellent cook and loved getting friends and family together for parties and social gatherings. He was a people person and especially loved caring for his mother. Tim, Kelly Jo and their dog Champ spent most of their time camping at Birch Lake, where his camper was set up year around. Tim was a great man, and he will be so missed by all his family and friends.
Tim is survived by his fiancé Kelly Jo Patterson of Barnsdall; his mother Lola Ann Dahl of Barnsdall; three sisters, Cindy Javellas and her husband Tommy of Pawhuska, Sandie McCartney and husband Mike of Pawhuska, Angela Reed and husband Jeff of Frisco, Texas; a brother, Randy Dahl of Okesa; a daughter, Whitney Dahl of Bartlesville; one granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and family. Tim was preceded in death by his dad Tommy, his brother Hans, and his sister Celia.
Mass will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Barnsdall, with Interment to follow in the Ethel Reece Cemetery.
Services under the direction of Stumpff Barnsdall Funeral Home.
