MICHAEL DEAN HARLEMAN Michael Dean Harleman, 75, Niangua, Mo., was born January 18, 1948, to Virgil and Loma (McConnaughey) Harleman in Kansas City, Mo. Mike passed away peacefully at home (per his wishes) surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren on September 22, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Loma Harleman. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Susan, of the home; four children, Shelly Beck (Glen), Kristy Tracy (Robert), Lori Shebesta (Eric), and Todd Harleman; 12 grandchildren, Ashton Fitzpatrick, Dalton Beck, D'Antagnan Tracy, Aramis Tracy, Eva Tracy, Baillie Shebesta, Mike Shebesta, Garrett Harleman, Josie Harleman, Gracie Harleman, Brooks Harleman, and Crue Harleman; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, David Harleman (Mary Tierney); nephew, Scott Harleman; sister-in-law, Nancy Harleman; sister, Deborah Page (Bob); niece, Tyler Page; nephew, Samuel Page (Rachael); as well as host of family and friends. Mike graduated from Van Horn High School, Independence, Mo., in 1966. On June 17, 1967, Michael was united in marriage to Susan Test. Mike worked a pressman for a number of regional and national companies, including Hallmark and Wandell Press. Mike enjoyed eating meatloaf and his mom's chocolate sheet cake. His Cherokee heritage was very important to him. He loved the farm and the outdoors and could be found in his overalls relaxing by the fire pit. Mike's greatest loves were his wife, Susan, and his family. Celebration of Life services for Michael Dean Harleman will be held 12 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, Mo.
