Donna Kay Atkinson, 83, of Hartville, Missouri, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on March 15, 2026. Donna was born in Hartville, Missouri, to Donald Foley and Claudean Hereford.

Donna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jack Atkinson, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was blessed with five children: Rick, Gary, Mike, Mitzi, and Terri Lynn.

Donna graduated from Hartville High School, where she enjoyed being involved in school activities and proudly played the drums during her high school years. She later dedicated 39 years of service to the Marshfield School District as a school bus driver. During that time, she safely transported generations of students who remember her kindness and friendly smile.

Donna loved attending church, singing gospel songs, and sharing her faith with others. She especially cherished the time she spent teaching the children's Sunday School class, where she shared her love for the Lord with the youth and helped guide them in their faith.

She was well known for her famous chocolate chip cookies, her love of reading western novels and for having "the best laugh". Donna cherished time with her family and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Though she held many titles in life – wife, mother, and grandma – her most treasured title was being a child of God. Her faith guided her life and was evident in the love she shared with everyone around her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Foley and Claudean Hereford, and her son, Rick Atkinson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jack Atkinson, her children, Gary, Mike, Mitzi, and Terri Lynn, 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with extended family and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Donna will be remembered for her strong faith, her loving heart, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
