Doris C. Brisson

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Doris Clark Brisson, 80, of 3125 Cliffdale Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Cumberland County to the late Clarence S. Clark and Anita McNatt Clark. She was an elementary school teacher for Cumberland County schools for more than 32 years and retired in 1984. She was also a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Emma Lee Howie Sunday School Class and Circle No. 6. She really enjoyed her Wednesday volunteer group where she loved meeting with her girlfriends. She also was a member of the Liberty Point Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Brisson; and her stepfather, Ervin Smith.Surviving are her loving husband, Lloyd. C. Brisson Sr. of the home, with whom she would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on Aug. 13; a son, Cliff Brisson Jr. and his wife, Toni, of Fayetteville; and a grandson, John W. Brisson of Hope Mills.The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Ewart "Doc" Wyle officiating. She will be laid to rest in Lafayette Memorial Park.Services entrusted to Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
