Mary Clayberger Obituary

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Mary Grace Clayberger, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 11, 1926, to the late James and Janie Rilla Jordan Maxwell in Columbus, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Clayberger Sr., and a son, Joseph H. Clayberger Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Fowler of Danville, Va., Janie Dugan of Fayetteville, Sheila Pegram of Fayetteville, Elizabeth Ward of Southern Pines; one son, Erik Scott Clayberger of Southern Pines; eight grandchildren, Todd Fowler of Las Vegas, James Casey Fowler of Monterey, Calif., Pamela Dugan Hayes of Fayetteville, Jason Pegram of Fayetteville, Brian Pegram of Fayetteville, Joey Clark of Southern Pines, Randy Gibson of Southern Pines, and Kimberly Phifer of Rockingham; and two great-grandchildren, Cody Pegram of Fayetteville and Gannon Hayes of Fayetteville. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Main Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg, with Chaplain Archie Barringer officiating. Services entrusted to Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
