David Noe Obituary

David Eugene Noe

A man should not be measured by his wealth and fame, as they are fleeting. A man should be measured and remembered for the wealth of friendships he acquired throughout his life and by those lives he touched and changed forever.

People were more important to Dave than anything. It is a rare man indeed who realizes early in life the value of a good friend, of a loved one and the richness of family loyalty. Dave was such a man.

Family was everything to Dave, and he felt his employees were his extended family and treated them as such.

Dave was a consummate entrepreneur. The art of the deal! That's what excited and motivated Dave. To build a restaurant from concept to completion was the joy of his amazing business career. He never lost the yearning for that 'next great' idea.

Socially, Dave was never shy and people were just naturally drawn to him. He had a knack for engaging people and making them feel they were important to him because they were. Dave had that special 'aura' that attracted people to him and he always used that attribute for good. Charity and our community were very important to Dave.

Dave's life was filled with family, friends, restaurants, boats, kindness, generosity, laughter, golf and Chardonnay. He will be greatly missed. Dave truly was the 'Love of my Life'!

Michael Pfeifer. Hi Mike. Not sure you remember me. Dave Noe loved you dearly. You were a loyal and dear friend. Your life has been a great Success. I am doing great. I have run an ebay business for 20+ years selling old baseball cards. Also a Title Examiner and Abstractor. By and large I have been very successful. I have you and Dave to thank. I desperately wanted to be the best employee possible. Dave would check my work and give me advice. Friar Tucks is a great restaurant. I would purposely work on holidays when nobody was there so I could make a delicious sub. I am sure Dave would have understood. Have to salute Michael Pfieffer. A great Sportsman and a great friend. Sadly we lost Vncent Dyksinski who passed away in 2023. I knocked on his door in 1985. I knew he had restaurant experience (Colony). He became a valued employee in the Friar Tuck family. Butch (Vince) was a great friend and a kind and decent young man. Thank you Dave for showing confidence in me. He was active. He wanted to know the details of my work. Constantly gave me advice. In retrospect I understand why he spent so much time with me. Viewed me as a dedicated and loyal employee. God Bless Dave Noe. His like will never be seen again.

A great man. Had me do a commercial on KFIZ radio. Watched me work and gave me pointers. I breaded cauliflower and he gave me pointers. A smart man who put great people around him. Michael Pfeiffer; Dan Pierce; Coach; and the Reis family. Helped me learn an ironclad work ethic that has helped me become a successful person. Whatever endeavor I pursue I give 100% and almost always succeed. I worked at Friar Tucks 1984-1987 and have to say that it prepared me for life. Many wonderful people. Great owner to work for.

Dave and I were childhood friends and we often played in his backyard. He loved to line stick matches up, with my help, and then would light the first and we rejoined when they lit from one match to another.
His loving Mother would walk us to school every day, and would meet us for the walk home. We were attending St. Patrick's school.
As we grew older, I would walk with my brother John, and Dave would meet others on his way. We went our separate ways when off to high school, Dave to Goodrich and I to the Springs. The last time I saw Dave was when my husband and I visited my sister Mary in Florida. We had dinner together and chatted about days gone by.
I recently came across some pictures of Dave at a few of my birthday parties. Memories are what keeps each of us in our minds and hearts. I will always remember the blue eyed, blond hair buddy of mine. May God bless his family with comfort, and may God hold Dave in the palm of His Hand. Rest in Peace, my friend.

I met Dave at The Loading Zone in 1972. From there, to The Moon and on! Dave was a kind, generous, fun guy who always had our backs. Many many good memories of a great friend. Rest in peace, Dave, and I'll see you for Birthday Wednesday in Heaven!
