We are so sad to hear the news of Dave going to be with the Lord. Dave was a great friend of my father going on various fishing trips.
Dave made a special trip to Campbellsport to comfort me after my dad passed. Dave had a great sense of humor and seemed to usher in humor even with his presence alone. His smile was infectious!
Diane and I are still in Florida and will be praying for the family. Please press into the Lord Jesus for comfort.

After buying a small farm in Campbellsport, the first bull that we purchased was from Dave. We named him:"Moses from Roses" and he was on the Gerken farm for a few years. So sorry for your loss.

To a great man, mentor , and friends. We should all aspire to live our lives as fun, conversationally, and worldly as Dave did. I will miss our conversations and reminiscing about cows, travel, politics, and most importantly the Cubs. Jackie and I send our condolences to Jean and all the family.
