David Thompson Obituary
David Orin Thompson, age 75, a resident of Fond du Lac died Thursday, October 19, 2017.
David was born on June 27, 1942 in Manitowoc, son of the late Orin Thompson and Helen Lauderdale Thompson. He graduated from Valders High School and the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh with a career in teaching. David had a passion for history, reading, antiques and genealogy.
He is survived by his brother: John (Jane Bartell) of Madison; his sister: Marilyn (Sharon Armus) of Minneapolis; and nephews and nieces: John C. Thompson, Kristin Thompson Corwin, Katherine Thompson Colbert, David Thompson Armus and Nathan Thompson Armus. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Paul Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, 255 Roosevelt Street, Valders. Burial will follow the service at Our Saviors Cemetery, Valders.

Dave was a good friend for the 40+ years that we knew each other and shared some real adventures & laughs. Will miss those late afternoon and early evening phone calls, but decades before they lasted into the early morning as we talked about antiques, history, people and life in general. Your conversation and insights will be missed my friend. Rest in peace, Dave.

I was shocked when I heard about your brother's death. Please accept my sincere sympathy on your loss. I have many good memories of him from my younger days growing up on the farm across the road from yours.
