John Klamrowski Obituary

John Thomas "Tom" Klamrowski

Fond du Lac - John Thomas "Tom" Klamrowski, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 16, after a long battle with melanoma and COPD. Tom was born July 30, 1938, son of the late Emil and Hildegard Klamrowski.

Tom's love of God found its complement in his love of music. He began playing the organ as a student at St John's Catholic grade school in South Milwaukee. He had the joy of returning there for his first teaching job. He went onto teach English and special education in both public schools and the prison system. Tom spent years playing the organ in many churches up until Christmas of 2020. When he set his mind on seeing the country, he bought a semi-truck and achieved that goal.

On February 17, 1978, he married Carol Schmitz at St Joseph's Church in Fond du Lac. Together they raised and trained quarter horses, and earned the 50-year Breeders Award.

Tom is survived by his wife Carol and sister Audrey Klamrowski. He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Schmitz, Mike (Joan) Schmitz, Tom (Karyn) Schmitz, Jim (Jerilyn) Schmitz, Rob (Eileen) Schmitz, Janice (Tom) McGauley, Verna Lese, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother James and wife Bev, his sister Lorraine and husband Ron, brother-in-law John Schmitz and sister-in-law Millie Schmitz.

Services: Tom's family invites relatives and friends for a time of visitation on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 4th Street Way in Fond du Lac.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM following visitation. Tom will be laid to rest in St. Peter Cemetery. Masks are required and social distancing encouraged.

The family would like to thank Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Hope for their care and compassion.

In lieu in flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
